14 Months
Clara is almost 14 months...Say What?
She is not only walking...but running around the house--
if she doesn't have a goose egg on her noggin',
it's been a good week!
Loves movies (just like her daddy), and reading mommy's recipe books...(not like her mommy).
Teaches piano and voice lessons, just like mommy--loves the piano!
Can pick out "Bebe Jesus" out of the nativity-and if anyone finds the one lost sheep--let me know!
(Found the camel and wise man in the laundy room- really? A wise man in the laundry room? Sounds a little suspicious.)
Has the best laughs ever- evil, chipmunk, fake, belly...any one- I love 'em all!
Will tickle-tickle at will...anywhere, anyone, anytime!
Is the best buddy in the world!

Reliving a nightmare...
It was a year ago today that I went back to work from maternity leave, and ironically enough- I made the same trek up to the "Mother Ship" hospital. Can I say- I hate the commute on Foothill- I hate rush hour...BUT- what I love most about today- I know that I won't have to come back for good.
Now...for a positive note....
I am so thankful for my new job at the DayBreak South Jordan Clinic. It has almost been a year since I transferred positions and it has made all the difference.
+2 hour commute is now...10 minute commute.
Mean bosses is now...great bosses and co-workers.
5 days away from family is now...3 days away from family
(With the best day care- Grandpa and Grandma Norby- Thank you- we couldn't do it without you.)
I am blessed with great benefits, insurance and ability to help provide for my family....
the nightmare has now become a wonderful real-life dream job.
Thanks ARUP-

Quiet Time.
While searching for ideas for Christmas for Clar-Bear, I found "Quiet Books"- and these,
I absolutely love. The task at hand? Wowsers.
Which brings me to the next statement- I really want to learn how to sew. Do I have the patience for it- probably not- but, after many years of being afraid of it- I think...well, I am going to learn.
I want to learn. There. I said it. WANT TO LEARN.
We'll see if I can muster up some courage and take on a project like this.

Guess What!?!
I turned ONE today!
I love to smile, make faces, laugh- evil laugh too...
I love my toys, music, dancing, bathtime, walking (running) around.
I love when daddy comes home! "You know what I'm talking about!"
I enjoy playing with my furry brother, Maestro..well, mostly teasing.
I. LOVE. FOOD and FOOTBALL. "Touchdown!"
I'm off of formula, the bottle and love my sippy cups now!
I have 11 teeth with more coming...
(I love brushing my teeth...I know the dentists in my family will like hearing that...)
I love cuddle time before bed when mommy sings primary songs to me...

11 months...
Where has the time gone? Our baby...not so much baby is 11 months old!
She is a speed-crawler, walking along the furniture- taking a few steps on her own, waving hi/goodbye- almost blowing kisses, signs for milk-

Desert Rose
Many decades ago, my grandma hand painted some of the china in the set, "Desert Rose". This collection became very popular in the 1940s-1950s. Grandma even had her own set in her home, which we all loved and adored. Every time I saw this delicate china, I saw my grandma. She was beautiful and creative- delicate but strong- like this desert rose. When both of my grandparents passed away, I was fortunate enough to inherit a few pieces from this collection.
Yesterday, to my astonishment, I saw this collection, "Desert Rose", in my voice coach's amour. I was flooded with emotion and shared with her that my grandmother was one of many who helped paint this collection. She was touched by my knowledge and background of the treasured dishes, for, these were her mother's dishes- a family heirloom.
Random story- but for me...a tender mercy moment. It's the small and simple things that remind me of the bigger picture.
