He's Part of the Family.

It made me feel so good when my lil' niece Kate asked her mom,
"Is cousin Maestro going to come to Florida with Uncle Wyan and Aunt Kelli?"
That's right my furry lil' puppy...you are a part of the family!

Vocal Pedagogy At It's Finest.

My sister Marisa was telling me that her son, Jon, was singing the famous, "If I were the King of the Forest" from The Wizard of Oz, but couldn't quite get the fast vibrato at the end. He informed her, "That's because I don't have a lot of fat on my throat..." Marisa then asked, "Do you want to call and tell Aunt Kelli that?" He instantly replied, "No, that's ok."
After all my training and pedagogy classes...I think his explanation is the most logically, and well, entertaining! Thanks Jon!

New Years in Idaho

With my parents recent move to Challis, Idaho, we decided to make a trip up there to see them at New Years.

Small town-big history.

A view of Thompson Creek Mine, where my dad is now the HR manager.
We were lucky enough to get a tour of the mine and open pit, thanks to Mike!
We had a great time with the Haslams! Lots of games, good food, movies, and wonderful conversation. Hope everyone had a fabulous 2010, and a great New Year's Eve!
